North Carolina
Republicans rigged this state. We're built to unrig it.
Building Blue was founded by North Carolina campaign staffers and organizers, not consultants parachuting in from D.C. This is the infrastructure program built to fix what national Democrats keep overlooking, county by county.
Run by proven grassroots activists, campaign staffers, and organizers, born and raised in North Carolina.
The NC Infrastructure Program
Four ways we're building here.
Not a pivot away from national work, an investment on top of it. Here's where it goes.
Pillar 01
County Infrastructure Fund
We invest directly in county parties and grassroots organizations across North Carolina, funding office space, staff support, tools, and the unglamorous stuff that keeps a county party running between election nights. Every county matters. This is how we prove it.
Pillar 02
Building Blue Fellows
We recruit, train, and place homegrown North Carolina organizers on municipal, legislative, and judicial campaigns that need staff and can't afford them. Every fellow we place is another campaign that can compete, and another piece of a political bench built here, not imported.
Pillar 03
Endorsements
The same fight we take on nationally, brought home. Publicity and direct funding for the North Carolina races other organizations skip on their way to the marquee seats: school board, town council, and everything in between.
Pillar 04
100 County Organizing
Town halls. Meet-your-representative events. Local festivals. Most North Carolinians couldn't tell you who represents them locally. We're changing that, one county at a time, whether that means Building Blue showing up directly or putting resources behind the local groups already doing the work.
County Infrastructure Fund, in practice
Real support, not a press release.
Office Space
Rent for a county party that's never had a place to organize from.
Staff Support
A staffer to run data, coordinate volunteers, and keep the operation moving between election nights.
Supplies & Equipment
Tables, chairs, a printer, a fridge. The unglamorous stuff that lets a group show up more often.
Whatever They Need
A table at a local festival, a float in the parade. County parties know their communities. We listen.
Building Blue Fellows, why it matters
North Carolina trains political talent. Then watches it leave.
Every cycle, some of the state's best organizers and staffers head out to work bigger-name races elsewhere, better pay, a stronger line on the resume. We don't blame them. We're building the reason to stay.
Recruit
We find organizers and recent grads with real potential, often people the traditional pipeline overlooks entirely.
Train
We give them the campaign skills that usually only come from working a race that can afford to teach them.
Place
We connect them to municipal, legislative, and judicial campaigns across North Carolina that need staff and couldn't otherwise afford them.
Help us build it at home.
County parties need resources. Campaigns need staff. Communities need to know who's on their side. Chip in and help fund the infrastructure North Carolina should have had years ago.
